ksViolin is a tuner and an intonation trainer for the violin, on iPhone and iPad. It does not collect any data. The app works entirely offline: it has no server, no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and it makes no network connection at all. Christophe Calmejane (KikiSoft), the developer, never receives anything about you or about how you use the app.
ksViolin listens to your violin through the microphone, to show whether each note you play is in tune. The sound is analyzed live, on your device, a fraction of a second at a time, and only while the tuner, the training or free play is on screen. It is never recorded, never stored and never sent anywhere. The app asks for the microphone only from a screen that explains why, and you can turn the access off at any time in the Settings app.
None of this is uploaded anywhere.
ksViolin talks to no service at all, KikiSoft's or anyone else's. It is built only with Apple's own frameworks and includes no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDK. If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your device's settings, Apple may pass crash reports on to the developer; they contain nothing you played.
Your practice history stays on your device until you clear it from the History screen, or until you delete the app, which erases everything it kept.
ksViolin is made for beginners of every age. Because it collects no data from anyone, it collects none from children either.
